Louisville, KY (July 27, 2016) – Well-respected concert and venue industry publication Pollstar Magazine released its Midyear Top 200 rankings this week and AEG Facilities’ KFC Yum! Center is ranked 7th in the nation and 25th in the world for ticket sales by arena, having sold over 230,000 tickets* in the first half of 2016. This highest-ever national ranking comes after the arena was previously ranked 8th in the nation by the publication in its Q1 edition. AEG Facilities, the KFC Yum! Center’s management group, owns, operates or is affiliated with 25 of Pollstar Magazine’s top 100 arenas worldwide, including the No. 1 ranked The O2 in London. Fifty-four percent of global ticket sales in the first half of 2016 were from AEG Facilities-affiliated venues.

These reports do not include University of Louisville sporting events or the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Tournament games hosted at the venue this year.  However, the KFC Yum! Center started off 2016 with a strong showing at a number of events, including eight sold out shows.

“In 2016, the KFC Yum! Center had its busiest start to a year ever. This is a true testament to the longevity of success for the venue and the continued support from fans in Louisville as well as the 33% of our guests who travel from out of state to attend our shows. Our seats have been packed night after night at shows from Madonna to Justin Bieber and Garth Brooks,” said KFC Yum! Center General Manager Dennis Petrullo.  “We are looking forward to exciting shows by Coldplay, Demi Lovato with Nick Jonas, Dixie Chicks and many more as the fall and winter concert season approaches.”
