Louisville, KY (April 15, 2026) – The KFC Yum! Center will host the 2028 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Gymnastics where the country's top men's and women's artistic gymnasts will vie for the opportunity to represent the U.S. in the LA 2028 Olympic Games. The trials will take place June 16-19, 2028 with men's competition scheduled for Friday and Sunday, and women's competition on Saturday and Monday. The Olympic team roster will be announced at the conclusion of each discipline's second day of competition.

The KFC Yum! Center has established itself as a premier venue for elite athletic events, having hosted the highest-grossing UFC Fight Night in U.S. history, numerous NCAA competitions, Simone Biles' Gold Over America Tour, the Kellogg's® Tour of Gymnastics Champions, and serving as home to University of Louisville events. The arena has also welcomed record-breaking entertainment acts, including a sold-out performance by comedian Nate Bargatze.

The Olympic Trials anchor Louisville's role as host of Gymnastics City USA 2028, which brings together four of the sport's most prestigious events over nine days from June 5-19. This celebration of gymnastics includes the U.S. Olympic Team Trials, USA Gymnastics Championships, Gymnastics for All GymFest, and the USA Gymnastics National Congress & Trade Show. With the KFC Yum! Center at the heart of these activities, Louisville will serve as the epicenter of American gymnastics in the lead-up to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Gymnastics City USA was first held in 2024, when 200,000 visitors traveled to Minneapolis, driving nearly $75M in economic impact, while social media coverage of the Olympic Trials reached a record 1.9 billion people. Fans also took part in the additional events surrounding Gymnastics City USA festivities, including the FlipZone fan interaction area and the 2028 USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame induction ceremony, where legends reunite.
