KFC Yum! Center’s Renewed Norton Healthcare Partnership Provides Additional Community Outreach

Louisville, Ky. March 11, 2021--ASM Global’s KFC Yum! Center is thrilled to announce that Norton Healthcare is extending their cornerstone partnership agreement as the arena’s Official and Preferred Medical Provider through 2027. The agreement reflects Norton Healthcare’s commitment to the city of Louisville reaching beyond traditional ways to engage the community through a variety of new opportunities to experience the KFC Yum! Center.

“The KFC Yum! Center has become an important destination for world-class sports and entertainment,” said Russell F. Cox, President, and CEO of Norton Healthcare. “We are delighted to continue our partnership, and we look forward to the return of more events at the Center and the opportunity to support programming that engages our entire community.”

While Norton Healthcare will continue to see patients at its primary care clinic on the arena plaza and provide care for guests at the arena’s multiple first-aid stations, it will also engage with the venue’s fans on social media and in community-based events that will be hosted at the arena. This includes: 

  • A new in-venue experience, the Norton Healthcare Champions Corner, is being installed in the KFC Yum! Center’s main concourse river view lounge. This fun and entertaining space allows guests to enjoy health-focused, interactive games and activities while attending events at the KFC Yum! Center.
  • Norton Healthcare will host a complimentary movie night for the Louisville area community at the KFC Yum! Center.
  • To encourage a healthy and active lifestyle for Louisville area youth, Norton Healthcare will offer an annual basketball camp at the arena.
  • Multiple KFC Yum! Center fans will be given a chance to win a “Living Your Best Life” Ultimate Fan Experience during an upcoming event at the KFC Yum! Center, courtesy of Norton Healthcare. This includes tickets to an event, transportation, food, and beverage.
  • Norton Healthcare will sponsor sweepstakes offers and giveaways on the KFC Yum! Center’s social media pages to reward fans with tickets to upcoming events.

This renewed partnership with Norton Healthcare and KFC Yum! Center was secured by Louisville Arena Sports & Entertainment Properties, the locally based Learfield IMG College team that has represented the arena and has overseen its corporate partnerships since before opening.

The KFC Yum! Center has hosted basketball fans at limited capacity for University of Louisville men’s and women’s basketball games this season and will begin hosting touring shows at limited capacity later this month. For the safety of the arena’s employees and guests, the arena staff has implemented VenueShield, an exclusive, globally recognized program developed in partnership with leading medical professionals and industry experts that provides enhanced safety protocols. These include temperature screenings, face-covering requirements, increased disinfectant cleaning, physical distancing, additional hand sanitizer stations, digital ticketing, cashless food operations, and more.
