Louisville, KY (June 13, 2016) – More than 60 boys and girls are participating in the first 2016 Robbie Valentine Summer Basketball Camp that kicked off at KFC Yum! Center this week. As part of the KFC Yum! Center and AEG Facilities’ deep commitment to community outreach initiatives, the arena is providing the resources for 33 inner-city children from Metro Parks to attend the camp and learn basketball basics and invaluable lessons in teamwork, self-confidence and being gracious in victory and loss. The KFC Yum! Center will continue providing the resources for dozens of additional inner-city youth to participate in the upcoming Robbie Valentine Summer Basketball Camps throughout the summer.
In addition to this week’s camp, there will be two more sessions throughout June and July. Parents can register their children for any of the upcoming sessions by visiting www.kfcyumcenter.com.
During the camps, there will be instruction from experienced coaching staff including Robbie Valentine and Milt Wagner from the University of Louisville 1986 Championship Men’s Basketball Team, Joe Estes of Loyola University Chicago, Brooke Valentine from Bellarmine University and Aaron Valentine from Indiana University Southeast with special guest appearances throughout the week.
