KFC Yum! Center Investing in Future 

With Major Roof Renovation

The Louisville Arena Authority (LAA) has announced that the KFC Yum! Center will undergo a major infrastructure upgrade this fall with the full replacement of the facility’s original roof. The project is scheduled to begin August 11, 2025, and be completed by December 2025.

The roof replacement marks the first major phase of a broader multi-year capital improvements plan designed to keep the arena a top-tier destination for sports and live entertainment. Additional major renovation initiatives included in the venue’s 30-Year Capital Plan are also in development and will be announced in the months ahead.

As the KFC Yum! Center prepares to celebrate its 15th anniversary this October, the roof replacement represents a key element of a broader initiative to enhance the venue and elevate the experience for both clients and guests. The work is being completed in conjunction with the arena’s anniversary plans, which are designed to honor its legacy and ensure a strong, sustainable future.
